Growing up, we remember the tales of Peter Rabbit and his friends Flopsy (not sure this is so PC anymore!) Mopsy and Cotton Tail with great affection- yet our kids just aren’t interested in these so called “old” stories! Well, they can’t call our classic faves “old” anymore, as the BBC are giving Peter and his friends a make over with their new series of Beatrix Potter’s timeless children’s classic for CBeebies.

With one child planning to emigrate to Africa, and the other planning to move to Tenerife (luckily they are only 6 so I have some time to prepare myself for the heartbreak), I decided to indulge their interest in Geography, however short-lived it may turn out to be. I searched the toy shops for the perfect yet inexpensive Globe/Map of the World.
