You can forget about the birthday bumps as we have now discovered the birthday crown courtesy of Micu Macu. These fab fabric crowns are the icing on the cake for any birthday photo – all you do is stick the felt number on the front for every year and as we love an annual tradition – these could be our latest birthday photo must do !!

In six different designs we want them all, but our faves are the pretty princesses and super hero aliens – and whats better is that they do matching accessories. Here at CMH we are 101% crazy about one thing – and that’s our kids safety, and with a gaggle of kids under 5 between us we know too well that little ones can often wonder off, and you really do need eyes at the back of your head sometimes. Now – we may not be able to offer you the answer to kids wondering off in opposite directions (ours never were ones to wear reins!) – but we can introduce you to the wonderful world of the INFOBAND.

Distributed by Everdell, these fab Infobands are a great way to keep your kids identified, the ubercool wristbands come in a vast number of designs with everything from diggers to dancers and cars to crowns. All you do is write on the band a contact number and name (not the kids name – either your first name or their surname) with a ball point pen. The text becomes water resistant as soon as you write on the band and the buckle is not only comfortable for little wrists but also virtually impossible for them to take off (but luckily for us easy for a grown up hand!). The band is also adjustable so will fit even the tiniest of toddlers and at only £3.50 per band we think its a no brainer!

Having just been on my daughters school trip – I only wish we had had these on all the kids – some how 4year olds have a nack of walking off and it would have been great to have had the school name and number on a wrist band to give all us mums a little added sense of security.

Last week we met up with the fabulously funny Vikki Stone – to chat about all things chocolate and comedy, as the award-winning songstress and rising comedian has teamed up with Cadbury Crispello – funny yum yum!!! To check out what she had to say click here!

Tell us a bit about yourself? What’s your story?

I’m a comedian, musician, actress and singer. Phew.

Right now what are you working on?

I’m currently doing a mini tour with Cadbury Crispello, doing bespoke gigs for the winners of their recent cheeky stories competition.

Then I’m taking my new show ‘Definitely’ to the Edinburgh Festival, then on a UK tour from September – November.

Where did the idea come from?

I get ideas all the time, goodness knows where they all come from.

What and when was your big break?

I suppose ‘The Phillip Schofield Song’ was the first song that really took off.

What does your typical day look like?

It depends whether or not I’m gigging, but it nearly always contains driving, writing, exercise and an evening show.

How do you do it?

Sometimes I don’t know!  I don’t get much time off.

You are an inspiring role model to so many kids what is the one piece of advice you’d pass on to kids aspiring to be comedians?

Start writing early.  I never thought I could write until I was in my 20s.  I wish I believed I could do it earlier on.

What did your parents want you to be when you grew-up? What about you?

Whatever I wanted to do.  I always wanted to work in entertainment, and I was encouraged to work hard.

What is the best piece of advice your mum gave you?

There’s not one single piece advice, but it’s more a work ethic that I got from her.  She taught me to graft, and that’s what she did, and what I do now.

How did she encourage you to follow your dreams?

She made me practice the piano A LOT.

What parenting tips have you learnt from your mum that you can see yourself using in the future?

Let them do what they want, but they have to do it to the absolute best of their ability.

Who is your super hero?

My Mum.

Fake it.  I don’t have the time.

Its a hard life- but someone has to do it – so last week we took one for the team and went to meet Ben Cohen (yes the ex-England Rugby player!) to discuss cuddling! Ben has been working with our fave fabric softner, Comfort Pure, to talk about the Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure ‘Cuddle Mastery Guide. New research by Persil Non-Bio and Comfort Pure shows that fathers are a bag of nerves when it comes to holding their baby for the first time. A lack of confidence means over half (60%) of new dads feel nervous when giving their little one those first important cuddles. Whilst mothers have plenty of advice from other mums, fathers tend to feel inexperienced, leading to a confidence crisis when the little one arrives.

While we can relate to the stats, and know too well that dad’s can find becoming a father a little daunting as they pick up their bundle of joy as if she is a china doll – but to be honest we are more interested in the fab photos of Ben and the babies which you can download here!!!!
