We all know how annoying it is with kids (and that’s the end of my sentence) when they get hold of our iPhones/iPads and monopolise them until the battery runs out (takes about 11 minutes with my iPhone). With all the gadgets we have around the house and in our handbags, what’s not to love for a child of the technological age?

My kids are definitely at the age where when they wake up, they’ll just play quietly (or not so quietly) and hang out with each other until the sun comes up on their sun and moon clock. Now if only they could work out how to turn on the TV and make their own breakfast, my weekends would be near-perfect. (Actually, at age 3, Twin 1 did decide to do the latter hence the delightful smell of burning toast wafting through the air. Toaster is now unplugged at night should he ever have the urge again.) Anyway, I digress as usual. I have come across a nifty little gadget to help with the TV side of the equation. The Sony Children’s TV Remote Control, will work with any TV and has nice big buttons so that a child can choose from a choice of 7 pre-selected programmes.
