If you’re looking for unique children’s clothes you won’t see on every kid in town, check out Dinky Vintage (or in person at 39b Sydney Street, Brighton).

They stock vintage children’s clothes from late 19th century to the early 80s and from newborn to teen sizes.

Pieces that caught Cool Mum’s eye included an Edwardian lace blouse for £65 and an array of girls smocked dresses and boys’ traditional overcoats. They also stock beautiful christening dresses and other occasion-wear for children.

Vintage style’s got to be a good thing to teach kids, not just about how they rock an outfit but also as the antithesis of today’s throwaway fashions. And we really like the idea of adding to the history of a piece of clothing….
